Job Purpose

Lead and oversee all aspects of trade compliance ensuring that import/export activities align with local and international regulations, mitigate risks, and support business operations through strategic guidance and hands-on execution.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain international trade compliance policies and procedures in the organization.
  • Monitor and analyze changes in trade regulations, particularly HTS code classifications and U.S. Free Trade Agreements.
  • Stay updated on recent U.S. tariff developments and their implications for trade compliance.
  • Perform in-depth country of origin analysis of the company's products, including but not limited to HTS code shift rule, build-up and build-down calculation on reginal value content, as well as substantial transformation analysis.
  • Manage audits and inspections by regulatory authorities and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate compliance risks related to international trade.
  • Identify tariff saving opportunities through strategic analysis of trade agreements and customs regulation
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams to ensure compliance with customs laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit trade documentation and reports to government authorities whenever needed.
  • Train and educate staff on international trade compliance requirements and best practices.

Job Requirements

  • Professional Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in International Business, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Work Experience: 10+ years' experience in international trade compliance or customs management.
  • Knowledge: Deep knowledge of HTS code classification and U.S. Free Trade Agreements, development policies and guidelines to ensure compliance with trade and customs requirements for import/export and shipment of finished goods and documents timely and effectively. Proven ability to conduct country of origin analysis. Familiarity with recent U.S. tariff developments and their impact on trade compliance.
