Primary Objective
- The IT Officer is responsible for providing seamless IT support and maintenance across all of our clients' operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that all IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network services, is installed, configured, and maintained effectively. The officer is responsible for promptly resolving technical issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring all IT services are operational and compliant with company standards.
- Primary point of contact for technical issues. Provide first and second-level IT support for all users, quickly resolving problems with hardware, software, infrastructure, and cloud services.
- Configure, monitor, and maintain IT systems and equipment, including desktops, laptops, and network devices, email, and cloud service, to ensure the availability of services and systems are aligned with operational needs.
- Assist with the maintenance and management of the IT infrastructure, both on-premise and in the cloud.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of IT security policies and procedures to ensure the protection of company data and systems.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Work Environment
- Based on-site at Onsite in El Copey.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all health and safety protocols across all sites.
- Must maintain physical and mental fitness to access various operational areas, including underground sites, and work in diverse environmental conditions.
Essential
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 5-10 years of experience in IT support or a related role, preferably within a mining or industrial environment.
- Proficiency in IT systems administration, network management, and support.
- Strong understanding of IT security protocols and data protection.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to IT support.
- Good understanding of the ITIL Framework.
- Experience with Azure.
