A motivated computer-aided design and drafting modeling program guru who takes the time to do things right and focuses in on what's important in an ever-changing environment.
Position Summary:
This role will provide engineering and consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. This role will work under the supervision of structural engineers conforming to structural engineering principles and providing CAD/BIM modeling. This role will be responsible to deliver 3D models and design drawings while ensuring CAD/BIM standards are being followed, ensure all disciplines are coordinating correctly, conduct model reviews, conduct clash detections and be client facing for design review meetings or presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Structural BIM design and drafting using REVIT
 - Utilizes BIM technologies in development of three-dimensional models of building's structural systems.
 - Responsible for supporting projects of varying complexity/sizes, work on multiple projects
 - Engages in the development of a design through sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats.
 - Develop foundation plans, framing plans, schedules, sections and details.
 - Attend and participate in project specific meetings to discuss a multitude of potential subjects including but not limited to, project design, scope, schedules, etc. as required.
 - Assists in the preparation and coordination of the construction documents.
 - Conducts quality assurance and quality control on own projects
 - Assists in the development of new standards and specifications for the structural design group.
 
Skills and Qualifications
- REVIT Structural Design Skills and Experience such as:
 - Create and modify structural elements.
 - Use and modify element materials.
 - Use selection sets, family parameters, and family content.
 - Annotate views.
 - Create and use detail components.
 - Demonstrate an understanding of phases and design options.
 - Use document revisions.
 - Configure and export print settings.
 - Apply advance view techniques.
 - Manage, create and modify schedules.
 - Revit project management such as: link/import files, work sharing concepts, use levels and grids, transfer project standards, edit object styles, and understand shared, project, and global parameters.
 - Strong technical skills, excellent verbal, and written communications.
 - Excellent planning and organizational skills for our fast-paced environment.
 - Highly motivated, proactive, and willing to take on new challenges.
 - Ability to make Excel spreadsheets and/or use other mathematical software to document design decisions.
 - Ability to read and interpret Contract Documents including but not limited to, architectural drawings, structural drawings, project specifications and estimator takeoffs.
 - The ability to interact and communicate effectively (both written and oral) with clients, Architects, and Engineers (on an as needed basis).
 - A general understanding of construction practices, principles, methods, and techniques. High level understanding of engineering principles and structural design practices.
 - Experience with design programs such as AutoCAD and REVIT.
 
Education and Experience
Required
· years AutoCAD with Structural Design.
· years Autodesk Revit experience with Structural Design.
Preferred
· Bachelor's Degree
· Revit Structure Certified Professional
