Your Role
As a Senior Architect at Gensler, you will lead and drive excellence across all phases of the design process. You bring innovative thinking balanced with the ability to develop and present real-world, technically sound solutions to complex design challenges. In this role, you will manage project teams of architects and designers to deliver outstanding architectural projects that exceed client expectations and set new standards for design excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the design, technical development, and delivery of architectural projects, from concept through construction administration.
  • Apply deep knowledge of architectural design principles, technical detailing, codes, and material characteristics to guide project development.
  • Oversee and coordinate project teams, including finished plans, specifications, and material selections necessary for construction.
  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and consistency of all technical documents and deliverables.
  • Direct coordination with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to achieve project objectives and compliance.
  • Produce and review architectural drawings, ensuring technical excellence and innovation.
  • Manage and facilitate communication among project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their goals, anticipating needs, and consistently delivering value.
  • Navigate and resolve project-related challenges and client concerns with professionalism, diplomacy, and a solution-oriented approach
  • Mentor and develop junior architects and designers, providing technical guidance and fostering career growth.
  • Support project fiscal management, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and profitability targets.
  • Actively contribute to business development efforts by maintaining and expanding client relationships.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and contribute to studio culture by championing design quality, innovation, and collaboration.
  • Drive quality assurance processes and proactively identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Other leadership responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

  • A Bachelor of Architecture or foreign equivalent is required; a master's degree is preferred.
  • Licensed or registered architect.
  • 10 years of progressive project experience in an architectural practice.
  • 100% bilingual English/Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in construction documentation and detailed design development.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, standards, construction methods, and structural systems.
  • High proficiency in REVIT, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Additional proficiency in AutoCAD, 3D Max, Illustrator, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Autodesk Certification is a strong plus.
  • Proven leadership skills, including team management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead client interactions and maintain long-term partnerships.
  • Exceptional client-facing skills, capable of maintaining and expanding client relationships with diplomacy and strategic vision.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and ability to navigate and resolve challenging situations with professionalism.
