We are seeking a highly motivated
Risk & Compliance Associate
to join our Compliance team. This role will play a critical part in strengthening our compliance framework by assisting with internal audits, building and enhancing monitoring processes, and reviewing applicable compliance regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, financial industry experience, and an ability to bridge data analysis with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer in the execution of the compliance program.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and performing internal audits to assess adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
- Develop and maintain monitoring processes to proactively identify compliance risks.
- Review and analyze compliance regulations and assess their impact on internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance issues and ensure timely remediation.
- Provide data-driven insights by leveraging SQL and other analytical tools; assist in building dashboards, reports, and automated checks.
- Prepare compliance reports and documentation for management and regulatory review.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the compliance function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience
working in or with banks, preferably with exposure to compliance, risk management, or auditing. - Strong understanding of the U.S. financial system and regulatory environment (a plus).
- Hands-on experience with
SQL
for querying and analyzing data. - Familiarity with
Python
(preferred, but not required). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and accountability.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks, banking regulations, or risk management practices (a plus).
