About The Role
We are seeking a
strategic and results-oriented Business Development Director
to lead business expansion, develop strategic partnerships, and strengthen our presence in the Dominican Republic. The ideal candidate is a local professional with deep knowledge of the Dominican business environment, fluent in English and Spanish, and with proven success in high-impact sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify Opportunities: Research and pursue ventures in beauty, finance, entertainment, manufacturing, and free trade zones.
- Network Development: Build relationships with industry leaders, investors, and government representatives, especially in free trade zones and industrial parks.
- Growth Strategy: Design and implement market entry, partnership, and investment plans to drive long-term growth.
- Market Intelligence: Provide insight on regulatory, economic, and competitive environments, including sector incentives.
- Team Leadership: Collaborate across departments, mentoring and developing a high-performing local team.
- Compliance: Ensure business operations meet local, international, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: 810 years in business development or strategic growth, with at least 5 years in leadership roles.
- Local Expertise: Dominican national or long-term resident with strong understanding of local regulations and business culture.
- Languages: Fluent English (C1/C2) and Spanish required.
- Education: Bachelors in Business, Economics, or International Relations; MBA preferred.
- Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation, networking, CRM and analytics proficiency.
- Attributes: Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptability, cultural awareness, and ability to travel.
