The Collections Strategy Lead will serve as the strategic driver of Ualett's accounts receivable and collections performance. This role requires a blend of analytical expertise, leadership, and process optimization to strengthen Ualett's collections operation in the Dominican Republic and across other markets. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to design strategies, create reporting frameworks, and identify weaknesses in the collection lifecycle.
- Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, execution, and optimization of early-stage and late-stage collections strategies. Fintech or MCA Preferred.
- Build, monitor, and refine reporting dashboards (Power BI, Excel, Tableau, or internal tools) to track collections performance and KPIs.
- Identify weaknesses and gaps in collection processes, recommending and implementing improvements.
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Finance, Marketing/Communications, and IT to ensure strategies align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation of technology solutions (CRM, Hubspot, automation tools) to scale collections. Preferred.
- Perform portfolio segmentation and help develop tailored strategies for different borrower risk profiles.
- Drive pilot programs and A/B tests to evaluate new collections tactics.
- Prepare and present monthly strategy reviews to senior leadership, with actionable insights and forecasts.
- Mentor and guide the collections team, ensuring execution aligns with the broader strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field;
- 5+ years of experience in collections strategy, credit risk, or accounts receivable management, with leadership exposure. Prefer Fintech, MCA, or Banking.
- Strong expertise in reporting and data analysis (Power BI,Tableau, SQL, advanced Excel).
- Excellent understanding of collections KPIs (DSO, roll rates, recovery rates, cure rates, etc.).
- Strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Native Fluency in Spanish; C1- proficiency in English a must.
- Familiarity with U.S. financial regulations and international best practices.
