Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Secondary Science Teacher at MI-EL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, located in Santo Domingo. The Secondary Science Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans, delivering instruction, and assessing student performance in alignment with educational standards. The teacher will be expected to create an engaging and supportive learning environment, manage classroom behavior, and maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Born-again Christian.
- Expertise in Secondary Science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Earth Science
- Experience in curriculum development and lesson planning
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with educational technology and digital learning tools
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students
- Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field; teaching certification is preferred
- Prior teaching experience at the secondary level is a plus
