Job Description
The Project Controller oversees financial aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to budgets, analyzing costs, and providing financial insights to support project management decisions. He/she maintains good relationships with financial partners and summarizes
As part of the LATAM's finance team, you will be responsible for monitoring the management, control and corporate aspects of a project under construction in LATAM which could be located in Dominican Republic, Chile or Uruguay. You will work closely with the project team in Dominican Republic during the first 12 months until the end of the construction phase. Once the construction is finalized, you will be assigned to other project in construction that could be located in another country where the company is operating.
Manage lender's
Follow up project contractual obligations during construction phase
- Manage debt drawdown
Prepare Report to Lenders
Follow up project costs & Treasury
Closely monitor project contracts financial/physical execution
- Controlling of CAPEX budgets
- Register and allocate invoices
- Follow up equity uses
- Manage VAT credit and hedging
- Coordinate payment campaigns
- Update Business Plan
Prepare Cash flow Projections
Manage day to day communication with Equity partners
Manage financial communication and external reporting
Participate to project team activities
Regular meetings
Reporting
Accounting, Tax and financial closing
Interfaces between the Internal Accountant Department, the Structuration and Execution Department and the Legal Department
- Ensures that management data tallies with accounting data,
- Provides the local accountant with all the operational information needed to close the accounts
- Check Tax Compliance
- Monitor formalities with local administration
Qualifications
Educational qualifications and experience
- 3+ years' education in Finance, 5 years is a plus
- First experience (5+ years) in project controlling / accounting or auditing
- Project controlling during construction stages within Energy / Industry Renewable energy as an Owner and/or as an EPC Contractor will be a plus
Competencies
- Technical Knowledge (ERP systems, Reporting tools, financial analysis) and Computer literate with good working knowledge of the MS Office package.
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect well with stakeholders.
- Team player, resilient and with strong business and personal ethics.
- Organization and planning capabilities to work autonomously.
- Ambitious, hard-working, and willing to quickly take on responsibilities in a fast-growing environment.
- Able to work in an informal environment (fast-growing group).
Language skills
- Professional English, oral and written.
