The
AI Prompt Engineer
is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing instructions or "prompts" that enable AI language models (such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini) to generate accurate, creative, and business-aligned responses. This role combines communication, analytical, programming, and critical-thinking skills to maximize the performance of generative AI tools.
Responsibilities:
- Create, test, and refine effective prompts for various use cases (support, content creation, data analysis, automation, etc.).
- Collaborate with development, marketing, operations, and data teams to integrate AI into workflows.
- Evaluate the performance of AI-generated responses and adjust prompts to improve accuracy and relevance.
- Document prompting strategies, best practices, and results achieved.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in generative AI.
- Implement quality and safety controls in interactions with language models.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Technology, Linguistics, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
- Experience with generative AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, etc.).
- Excellent writing skills in English and Spanish.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Preferred: basic knowledge of programming (Python, AI APIs, etc.).
