Overview:
Syndeo is seeking a Report Developer to design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Power BI and other reporting tools, with a strong foundation in database management, data modeling, and programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and other visualization tools (e.g., Plotly, Dash).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable reporting solutions.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, including relational (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and non-relational databases.
- Design and implement ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Write complex SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Automate report generation and distribution using RPA tools and scripting languages (Python, Java).
- Support the development and maintenance of APIs for data integration and reporting.
- Participate in Agile Scrum and Kanban workflows, contributing to sprint planning and documentation.
- Provide training and support to end-users on report usage and data interpretation.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in business intelligence and analytics.
- Document report architectures, processes, and changes accurately and up-to-date.
Required Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, dashboard design, data modeling).
- Experience with other data visualization tools (Plotly, Dash, Tableau).
- Strong SQL skills; experience with database modeling and structured data.
- Familiarity with relational database management systems (PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server) and non-relational databases.
- Programming experience in Python and Java; familiarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Go Language is a plus.
- Understanding of API development (REST, GraphQL).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows OS, Office 365; iOS and Android experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (Spanish and English).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Accurate documentation and recordkeeping.
Qualifications and Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- 3+ years' experience in report development, business intelligence, or related roles.
- 1+ years' experience with clinical systems preferred.
Preferred Certifications:
- Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate).
- Certified Database Administrator (e.g., Microsoft, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Data privacy or security certifications (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR compliance).
- Relevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
