Position Overview

The Health Education Director will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing health education programs aimed at improving community health, promoting public health literacy, and addressing core issues such as gender equality, mental health, and social inclusion. This position requires project management, cross-departmental coordination, and community communication skills to ensure effective implementation and tangible impact.

Key Responsibilities

Develop health education strategies and annual plans to ensure alignment with the organization's mission and goals.

Design and implement health education programs, including workshops, trainings, community events, and online courses.

Oversee program execution to ensure quality, schedule, and budget control.

Build and maintain partnerships with government departments, community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders.

Train and mentor health education teams and volunteers to enhance their implementation capabilities.

Collect, analyze, and report program data, evaluate program effectiveness, and provide recommendations for improvement.

Develop educational materials and promotional content tailored to diverse communities and cultural contexts.

Assist in fundraising and applying for health education grants to ensure program sustainability.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, health education, social work, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

At least five years of relevant work experience; experience managing health projects for NGOs or international organizations is preferred.

Familiarity with community health education methods and public health intervention strategies.

Excellent communication, coordination, and project management skills.

Ability to handle multi-tasking and high-pressure work.

Experience working in cross-cultural settings and possessing team leadership skills.

Fluent English; proficiency in the local language is preferred.

Proficiency in office software and project management tools.
