Summary:
Responsible to support the development of BI solutions by designing, building, and maintaining the data architecture and infrastructure necessary for efficient data collection, processing, storage, and analysis, to create reports and dashboards for descriptive and predictive analytics to help the decision making in the company.
The Data Engineer role reports to the VP Business Intelligence and works closely with the BI team to support the company's data infrastructure and analytical needs. The primary goal is to support the development of BI solutions and predictive models that aid business decision making and improve efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain the data architecture and infrastructure to support efficient data collection, processing, storage, and analysis in support of BI solutions.
- Ensure that data infrastructure is scalable, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Design, implement, and maintain data integration and ETL processes to ensure data from various sources is accurately collected and transformed for use in BI solutions.
- Develop reports and dashboards for descriptive and predictive analytics using tools such as Power BI.
- Ensure that reports and dashboards are accurate, visually appealing, and provide actionable insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and requirements for BI solutions, ETL processes, and reports and dashboards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining data systems, data pipelines, and data warehouses.
- Professional certifications in relevant areas such as Azure, python is preferred.
- Experience in managing and manipulating large datasets.
- Experience with ETL tools such.
- Experience in working with relational databases Sql server.
Skills
- Proficient programming in Python.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling and database design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
