Position Description:

The Senior IT Human Resources Consultant (SIHRC) is esponsible for providing HR advice and support to critical technical areas and units, ensuring workforce planning and human resource relationship management. This role is ideal for HR professionals with hands-on experience developing IT high-performing teams,assessing cutting edge skills and promoting a positive culture based on organizational core values.

A great Senior IT Human Resources Consultant is well-versed in multi national legal guidelines, talent development, workforce planning, labor relationship, performance assessment and must demonstrate experience building foundational recruitment (find and engage) skills engaging with information technology area and functional units.

Senior IT Human Resources Consultant Body of Work:

  • Spearhead the end-to-end talent acquisition process—including sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, evaluating, and placing highly qualified professionals—to align with the IT department's staffing needs for contract, contract-to-hire, and permanent roles. Responsibilities include drafting and updating job descriptions and delivering timely, accurate guidance throughout the recruitment and selection lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain a robust talent network by leveraging creative sourcing strategies, professional referrals, and industry networking events to engage both active and passive candidates.
  • Partner with senior IT leadership to establish a sustainable talent pipeline designed to foster long-term career development across technical, managerial, and executive tracks.
  • Lead structured onboarding processes to ensure smooth integration of new hires.
  • Design and lead the organizational culture framework within the IT function, emphasizing core values and promoting high performance in multigenerational and cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee HR case management within the IT area, including disciplinary actions, occupational health and safety issues, and the execution of performance evaluations.
  • Design and manage performance review programs and goal-setting frameworks.
  • Coach managers on feedback, development plans, and performance improvement.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to IT management and staff, offering guidance on employment contracts, terms and conditions, and the interpretation of collective agreements, internal policies, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Provide consulting support to senior IT leadership on organizational design, compensation strategies, individual and team performance, and workforce planning across short, medium, and long-term horizons.
  • Design and implement strategic HR frameworks aimed at addressing key human capital needs, including targeted training programs, niche technical skill development, and the adoption of advanced HR technologies.
  • Define the administrative tools to supervise conduct and behavioral improvement initiatives, adhering to corporate policies and emphasizing talent retention as a strategic priority.
  • Promote a positive work environment through transparent communication and employee recognition.
  • Resolve employee conflicts and support a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability.
  • Lead cross-functional HR initiatives and programs related to team building, promoting collaboration, cohesion, and collective intelligence, reinforcing a culture of shared purpose and organizational unity with an esprit de corps.
  • Enhance the selection and vetting framework for roles with access to sensitive or privileged information, ensuring rigorous screening standards and risk mitigation protocols are consistently applied throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
  • Design and implement the internship program, aimed at attracting young talents in STEM sciences who can continue their professional careers within the organization.
  • Identify skill gaps and design learning and development initiatives.
  • Support career pathing and upskilling programs for technical and leadership growth.
  • Work in close partnership with internal control areas to investigate and classify policy violations, ensuring objective assessment of circumstances and the formulation of appropriate, evidence-based corrective actions.
  • Oversee payroll processes in collaboration with Finance.
  • Evaluate and recommend competitive benefits programs suited for the tech industry.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and oversee audits related to HR compliance.
  • Manage HR systems (HRIS) and support adoption of digital tools to improve employee experience.

Requirements or hard skills:

  • +5 years of experience as Human Resources Consultant for technical areas.
  • In-depth knowledge of labor regulations of the Dominican Republic, Mexico and the United States.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Worldwide accepted leadership, coaching or mentoring credentials are desirable.
  • Familiarity with IT/Software industry dynamics, including agile team environments.
  • Experience working with diverse teams including software developers, IT support, and project managers.
  • Ability to thrive in a scaling organization with evolving processes and priorities.
  • Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution ability.
  • Experiencing working multicultural environments.
  • Spanish and English Proficiency.
  • *** HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, PHR/SPHR) are a plus.
