About The Role
The Junior Logistics Coordinator supports the efficient movement of goods across the supply chain, with a strong focus on GPS tracking, shipment monitoring, and security compliance. This role ensures shipments are accurately tracked in real time, potential risks are proactively identified, and operations remain efficient and secure.
You will collaborate with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery operations, timely updates, and proper logistics reporting.
What You Will Do
- Assist in planning and coordinating inbound and outbound shipments to maintain timely deliveries and minimize disruptions.
- Monitor GPS tracking systems to oversee the real-time location and status of shipments.
- Create and close GPS journeys, ensuring accurate records of shipment progress.
- Reconcile GPS inventory between the ERP system and the GPS platform to maintain data accuracy and consistency.
- Track and report on shipment progress, updating stakeholders with accurate information on delays, diversions, or incidents.
- Identify and escalate security concerns related to shipment safety, cargo integrity, and route risks.
- Coordinate with shipping providers, carriers, and customs agents to ensure timely and secure movement of goods.
- Support preparation and management of transportation documentation (shipping labels, customs paperwork, delivery receipts).
- Ensure shipment records and daily reports are accurately updated in logistics databases and ERP systems.
- Assist in evaluating routes and transportation methods to optimize efficiency and security.
- Support resolution of issues such as late deliveries, shipment discrepancies, damages, or tracking anomalies.
- Contribute to process improvements in tracking systems, reporting methods, and security protocols.
- Perform other logistics-related duties as assigned.
Who You Are
- Experienced: 1–2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination, preferably with exposure to GPS tracking and monitoring tools.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with ERP systems, logistics platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledgeable: Basic understanding of import/export procedures, customs documentation, and compliance requirements.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect and escalate issues quickly.
- Strong Communicator: Effective communication skills to coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.
